Magic and Fun in Heather’s art studio - A. Fragakis
Magical Heather understands kids and how to nurture their inner artist. She gives them the space and materials (her studio is beautiful and inspiring) and lets them go at it. I signed my 7 year old daughter up for one of Heather’s kid’s painting days–an extraordinary experience for her. I like the way Heather’s focus is on the process not product–it is helpful for children who naturally want to compare and can give up if their work is not “perfect.” If you want your kid to learn how to truly paint from their heart, send them to Heather. I wish I could have had her as a teacher when I was a kid. So now I’m going to have to start taking one of her adult classes!

Heather is such a warm, funny, brilliant art teacher who is a complete joy to work with. I had not thought of myself as an artist or painter when I started doing process painting with Heather many years ago. Since then I have participated in numerous art classes with her in all kinds of workshops. She has brought my inner artist alive. She has unleashed my creativity and brought out a love of art and creating that comes from the pure experience of being in the moment and letting myself freely express. It’s fun, it’s playful, it’s profound, and it’s can be a healing experience. Art classes with Heather are unlike any other – she let’s you be you. I highly recommend her.

I love the Petaluma Art House. It was my first experience with Heather and I know it won’t be the last. She is a super giving teacher – always present to your questions, needs or whatever else might come up. She has an amazing sense of humor that keeps the energy of the studio always going. The studio is inviting, cozy, fun, and has all the painting materials you could ask for. I had a great experience painting with Heather, I honestly can’t wait to be back at the Petaluma Art House!

It IS magic, what happen in Heather’s Studio. When I’m painting with her, all kinds of feelings come up. They get externalized onto the paper and when I walk out of her class I feel cleansed and like myself again. I love the process of not knowing what’s going to happen, getting totally into it and having all kinds of realizations and clearings! Painting with Heather is transformational! And… I get such interesting paintings!

Heather is the queen of inspiring play, creativity, and deep inquiry and she has an amazing capacity to free up your inner artist, no matter how long its been hiding! I love painting in her space…she sets everything up for you and really gets you going, so all you have to do is show up and start painting! She is masterful at coaching you through your own process and keeping the process moving in a creative direction. She also leaves room for you to be you! Heather creates a non-judgmental, spacious and beautiful environment. I can’t recommend her painting classes more! They are fun and transformative!

Thank you so much for such an amazing day you created for the girls.  I loved seeing the pictures and listening to Olivia talk about her painting and spending time with all the girls.  She truly had a wonderful time and would definitely be excited to do it again.
